GOP Lawmakers CAUGHT On Call Urging House Reps To Kill Trump’s $2000 Check Demand

By Allan Miller

First, no response from the Republicans on the most obvious and corrupt election in world history… and now Congressional Republicans want to stop the President’s wishes for providing more in COVID payments to the people.

Joe Biden manufactured 20 million or more votes in the 2020 election in November to steal the race away from record-setter President Trump and the Republicans in the House and Senate say nothing.  Now this same group wants to prevent Americans from receiving more than $600 in payments in a COVID package?  These individuals are not for the people!

Yesterday, the Republicans in Congress were caught acting behind the scenes attempting to stop President Trump’s ask to give Americans more money due to Americans’ challenges with COVID.

In a private call with Republican lawmakers, McCarthy said he would move to block House Speaker Nancy Pelosi from winning unanimous consent for the measure, which President Trump, numerous Democrats, and some Republicans have called on Congress to pass. However, he quickly realized that not all of his colleagues were on board with his plans…

Mediaite reports:

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) on Wednesday ended a call with House Republicans after they began leaking to the media about his effort to kill a proposal that would include direct $2,000 payments to Americans.

On Thursday morning the US House voted to give $2,000 to every American in their new bill.

The US House voted it down.

On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Cuomo Primetime,” Problem Solvers Caucus Co-Chair Rep. Tom Reed (R) stated that the deal on the coronavirus relief bill should be kept together and increased direct payments “should be a separate issue.” Because if direct payments increase to $2,000, Republicans will argue that there doesn’t need to be $300 in extra unemployment benefits.

Reed said, “I think there’s going to be an exchange tomorrow on the unanimous consent to try to raise the cash, the $2,000. … When you talk about direct payments, then you’re going to have to have a conversation about unemployment benefits going up $300 per person. Because if they’re getting $2,000 direct payments on top of the $300, then people, rightfully, on our side would be arguing, well then the unemployment benefit doesn’t have to be as high at $300 increased a week. And that’s why this deal needs to stay together. Because this is months of negotiation, and we have found the sweet spot. We found where common ground can be reached, and that is why we should move forward with it. If we want to have a conversation about increased checks, that really should be a separate issue.”

President Donald Trump demanded Tuesday that Congress amend the coronavirus rescue package and government funding bill before sending it to his desk.

As reported by Breitbart News:

The massive 5,593-page bill was passed by both the House and the Senate on Monday night but immediately drew criticism for only sending $600 of direct aid to each American.

The president did not say he would veto the bill but demanded that Congress amend it before sending it to his desk.

“I am asking Congress to amend this bill and increase the ridiculously low $600 to $2000, or $4000 for a couple,” he said.

It’s time to let these politicians know we won’t put up it! Share your thoughts.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
