Two days ago, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, a part of the National Institutes of Health, took a petulant and extraordinarily unprofessional shot at Dr. Scott Atlas, the only member of the President’s Wuhan virus team who doesn’t seem to see Americans as lab rats and who wants to move us past the virus rather than using it as an excuse…not a reason, an excuse…to impose sweeping changes on our way of life.

Last night, the White House issued a response that indicated it was not terribly happy with Fauci’s preening.
The White House has lashed out at Dr. Anthony Fauci — after the nation’s leading infectious disease expert praised Joe Biden and warned that the US is “in for a whole lot of hurt” from COVID-19 this fall and winter.
White House spokesman Judd Deere called Fauci’s comments “unacceptable and breaking with all norms.”
“Dr. Fauci has a duty to express concerns or push for a change in strategy, but he’s not done that, instead choosing to criticize the President in the media and make his political leanings known by praising the President’s opponent,” Deere said in a statement late Saturday.
“Dr. Fauci knows that the risks today are dramatically lower than they were only a few months ago, with mortality rates falling over 80 percent.”
There are now indications that President Trump has decided to do after reelection what he’s been politically prevented from doing previously: replacing Fauci with someone who is not focused on dragging out his fifteen minutes of fame for another year or two but rather on getting the country back to status quo ante. President Donald Trump is suggesting that he will fire Dr. Anthony Fauci after Tuesday’s election, as his rift with the nation’s top infectious disease expert widens while the nation sees its most alarming outbreak of the coronavirus since the spring.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Opa-Locka, Florida, Trump expressed frustration that the surging cases of the virus that has killed more than 231,000 people in the United States this year remains prominent in the news, sparking chants of “Fire Fauci” from his supporters.
“Don’t tell anybody but let me wait until a little bit after the election,” Trump replied to thousands of supporters early Monday, adding he appreciated their “advice.”
Virtually every decision and recommendation that has come from Fauci/Birx/Redfield is focused on dragging this manufactured crisis out as long as possible and inflicting as much damage upon the nation’s economy as can be done in the process. There is no evidence that anything they’ve recommended works and a lot of evidence to the contrary. Their actions remind one of nothing so much as an episode of “House” where a patient is admitted with a hangnail, a group of surgeons sits around spitballing ideas about what is wrong, and the patient dies after millions of dollars in tests, several weeks of antibiotics, a dozen surgeries, and a couple of organ transplants.
The crowd in Opa-Locka is right. It is time to “Fire Fauci.” The President is focused on getting the nation back on its feet after it was clubbed senseless by Fauci and his cronies. Fauci is focused on essential stuff like making you wear facemasks and keeping you from celebrating holidays and family events. Fauci knows that Wuhan Lung AIDS represents a substantial income stream to his agency, university labs, and vaccine manufacturers. It is in his professional and parochial interests to keep this going for as long as possible. His interests are neither those of the president nor the nation, and he really needs to step aside, or be moved aside, and let someone who cares about Americans take the lead.
Full disclosure, as everyone knows, I worked in Fauci’s agency, in a role unrelated in any way to the Wuhan virus, until September 21 when I retired. Thanks to that retirement, I will now be able to provide a more detailed critique based on personal experiences.
